My mother often admonished me that one had to play one's role properly. She seemed to know what a good person should be. Yet, when getting into something frustrating, she often felt depressed and told me how she failed to a be a good person. With a reflection on this issue over the past few years, the difference between an ideal person and the human body has been a focus in my work. I expect my puppet, animation, and installation work to serve as an echo to the feeling of how the human body is deconstructed and shaped into a human being.
