Bizarre but beautiful imagination
Studied design in Korea and narrative environment in the UK.
She is intrigued by contemporary and future mythology. She likes bizarre stories that show the unlimit of imagination, like ancient history and mythology. Her work has engaged with various types of modern mythology, and the imagery that this evokes. The artwork she make is currently producing involves local beliefs, folk stories and the recording of various culture traditions via her travel. Recently she is interested to creat tapestry through her drawing. She also draw issues such as civilization, religion, war, and ethnicity from the perspective of Korean. Based on research, she creates works based on various materials such as installation, video, tapystry, and drawing. She use svarious materials such as steel, wood, and fabric, and shows various 'steel drawings'. Sometimes She collaborate with dancers,scientists, actors and film makers. From 2012 to 2017, she worked as a British artist Alexander Augustus as a artist duo of The Bite Back Movement.
She exhibited her works at the National Gwangju Asian Culture Center,Culture Station Seoul 284, Ulsan Taehwagang International Art Festival, Can Foundation, Youngeun Art Museum, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and Berlin ZK / U and so on.
Like the Cave Paintings of the Paleolithic Age, she dreams of a work that will remain forever. Currently She lives and works in Seoul.
